This is Tamiya's 1/32 F-4J in Marine squadron VMFA-333 colors. I've added the Eduard PE detail set, True Details MB Mk 7 seats, CE seamless intakes, resin nozzles, wheels and CAM decals. The kit goes together rather well. Some putty and filler are required for the intakes but that is much preferred to the kit furnished ones. Other than that not much putty is needed. I had to correct the kit furnished AIM-9's to put the forward fins in their proper locations.
As with all big Tamiya kits the level of detail is fantastic. Prior to painting the panel lines were pre-shaded with grimy black. The model is painted with a mix of tamiya and PollyScale acrylics with MM metalizers and ALclad II for the exhaust areas. An enamel wash was applied to bring out the panel lines and gear well areas. The model was finished off with an overall semi-gloss of PolyScale clear acrylic.
