This pictures doesn't do the fireplace justice. The wood is beautifully perserved, with great carving detail. Best of all, it's a working fireplace. Hopefully, I won't have to use it for a few months, though. |
Look! I have a BIG closet. I love it. Lots of room to hang clothes and lots of shelves. I have my dresser in here now, and more stuff than I'd like to admit. Plus there's still room to change in here if I need to (for those last minute wardrobe adjusts in the morning. |
Would you just look at my bathroom? The sink? The tile floor? The clawfoot bathtub. Heaven in ceramic. |
Ta da! My sunny room with built-in shelves. And, as you can see, I've already started strewing stuff all over. |
Here's the room at the beginning of the paint job. From blah to "Sun Shower." |
The broken window: my own special welcome to J.P. |
Look, even my doorknob is pretty! |
MY NEW HOME |
Part One: Painting the Room Of course I can't move anywhere without doing some painting, and of course the color for my new room is yellow. |
Part Two: My new Home I am completely in love with my new apartment. These pictures show why. |
This is the front entryway of my building, as viewed from the stairs to my second floor apartment. The stained glass is so beautiful; I feel very rich and luxurious with such details. Unfortunately, on the exterior of the building it's covered/protected by plexiglass, which deadenness the effect a bit (it is, however, pretty much the norm all over Boston). |
