Jenny's
AmeriCorps Blog
The days are counting down.  I only have FIVE more days as an AmeriCorps.  I then will re-enter society.  How do I feel about this?  Excited to move on to a new stage in my life and nervous that I won't be able to find a "real" job.  Read up on my latest hopes, fears, crazy schemes, and the countdown to post-AmeriCorps life.

This morning I had my
second interview with Planet Aid for the position of assistant manager in the Site Selection Department.  I believe it went well, and I'm supposed to hear tonight or tomorrow.  Right, I've heard that one before.  I won't hold my breath; but it won't keep me from being ridiculously excited and nervous.

I finally did filing!  It was an impressive feat--there were manila folders, and hanging file folders, and label tabs, everywhere.  But now it's done, and it's the prettiest file drawer you've ever seen.

Does that last statement mean I'm officially crazy?

I don't think I want to know the answer.

If the weather was as unspiring for you as it was for me, you will appreciate this
bit of color.  As heard on NPR's All Things Considered, all 20,000 books in a California used book store have been arranged by color.  A rainbow of books: I can't think of anything lovelier.

Tomorrow I'm going out on site to do more painting (hopefully not in the "wet sand brown" the homeowner--and I like this homeowner, really--chose for the entire upstairs hallway and stairway.  She told me she also wanted it for the living room.  But I really hope she changes her mind.) to do my part, and then come back to the office ot put things in order for the days that I'm gone back to Wisconsin.

Hopefully I'll find time to update the page tomorrow.  But it probably won't get touched again until next week.
