As you can see from the name change, my days as an AmeriCorps have ended.  Now what?  Journey with me as I try and answer that all-encompassing question

My interview with the Committee to End Homelessness--soon to be known as H.E.A.R.T.H (which stands for Housing Elders yada yada yada)--went very well yesterday.  I interviewed with Amy, and it turns out that this is a newly created position, a kind of Development Sidekick.  I'm a good sidekick, just ask Joe from Home Depot in Dallas (long story...).

Not only did the interview go well (and the fact that I knit was a big plus!), but I successfully drove in Boston!  WOW.  I only got turned around (but never lost), and I only drove in an oncoming lane of traffic once--with no disasterous results (hey, there were NO lines on that road, none.  No white, no yellow, no nothing).

But then this morning I was woken up at 5:00AM by my neighbor trying to get out of his driveway.  It took him half an hour (there's a bit of ice, you see) to get out.  He basically just revved the engine and spun the tires until the ice melted underneath the car.  It was wonderful to listen to (and smell), let me tell you.

I did some Christmas shopping yesterday too.  But I won't devulge what or for whom--they could be reading this right now!

Victory!  I finally got the newsletter off to the mailer!  Talk about a weight off my shoulders--and more room in the back seat of my car.  Hooray.

I haven't found any new jobs to apply for in about a week, which makes me a bit nervous because there were so many for awhile.  Well, all I can hope is that I hear from some more the places I already applied at.

I'm getting a new roommate--for real, this time.  She has brought stuff over twice now, and contributed a very nice coffee table to the living room, so I say it's official this time.  A new roommate.  And she knits, rock on.

It looks to be a slow day, but if anything comes up, I'll be sure to post it.
