Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity (12/03 - 11/04): Currently serving one year as an AmeriCorps Vista Volunteer in the role of volunteer and youth coordinator.  I recruit and educate new volunteers; foster relationships with businesses, schools, and churshes; maintain the volunteer database; assist in the planning and execution of fundraising events; write grant proposals; assist with committee work; and assist with publicity (such as writing newsletterarticles and PSA's).

Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity (8/02 - 7/03): Served eleven months as a construction and volunteer supervisor.  I supervised building sites, scheduled subcontractors, ordered supplies, and created build schedules for individual houses.  I also orientated volunteers onsite, instructed, and supervised their assigned tasks.  A personal project involved creating standarized component lists for each house plan in order to stream-line the pre-build stage of construction.

My position with the Greater Worcester Habitat for Humanity ends on December 3, 2004.  I really want to stay in the nonprofit world, either in the affordable housing/ poverty field or international study.  And while I am finally starting to tire of moving every year or so and would like to stay in the vicinity of Boston, I have no problem relocating!  I am flexible in terms of pay and benifits, but I would like to make enough to live on for a change ($25,000 to $30,000).  My parents have supported me long enough, and I'd like them to start saving up for their cross country-tour of the national parks.
