From the mountain to the sea, from the desert to the
cities, California seems to have it all!
Here it's possible to find almost all of the earths
conditions:
Mountains- The highest in continental United States
with Mt. Whitney @ 14,410'. Mt. Shasta
always seems to have a glacier topped
summit. Much of the Sierra Nevada Mtns.
are Alpine-like above 6,000'.****
Desert---- Large areas of Southern California contain
Huge areas of open desert space. Some high
ways pass through the Mojave and Death
Valley Deserts where you'll see a desolate
life less landscape as far as you can see!
****Ocean- The coast of California is among the long-
est in the USA. The best way to see our
beautiful beaches is to take a ride along
state highway US 1.****
Cities---- Most of the larger cities lie close to the
ocean. The people are a melting pot of
the worlds culture.****
