My name is uncommon in Korea. Actually this name, Kim Je-Kyung, is not officially recorded in the geneology. The name which is in the geneology is Kim Young Su, which is too common in Korea. It was a kind of the model of a boy's name. Almost every boy in the typical Korean text books was a "Young Su".My grandfather worried about this, and made other beautiful and proper name for me, which is not common.
The meaning of my name is elegant.'Kim' means "gold"(usually, the last name in Korea represents the origin of the families), ''Je' means "waterdrop" and 'Kyung' means "rank and status." When these words come to be united, "Kim Je Kyung" means: Be precious like a gold, clean like waterdrops, and be in a high rank or status. It's really hard to organize and harmonize just three Chinese words among thousands of words dandily. Thus, it's very thankful for me to have such a nice name.
I really like my name although people who have same name like me are mostly women. I'm very happy with my name because people around me usually say to me that my name is really suitable to me. Assurely, I will love my name forever. It is a remarkable present from my grandfather.
