Sell your music, not your soul
I think for Seo Tae-Ji, music is identical with his soul. When he is playing his musci, he is burning his soul. In other words, in all his music, his eternal and ardent scan soul is soaked. Therefore, his authentic value toward his music is his passionate spirit that has its own creative rhythm.
Commonly, the music, for musicians, is regarded as their own color. That is, the music is their specific identity. Seo Tae-Ji was a famous musician for a long time in Korea. His fame is still great in these days. Therefore, he is known as a 'Korean representative singer.' This designation can be made due to his constant eagerness whereby he puts his whole spirit into the music; and by extention, he thereby expresses his soul to the nation.
Selling one's music means that the musician sells his/her music for a commercial purpose. Thus, his/her music becomes 'a mean for money,' not his/her enthusiastic soul. This concept is very different from that of Seo Tae-Ji to the music. It is opposed to Seo Tae-Ji's. Although he was poor in the past, he didn't mean to sell his music to earn some money. He really loved the music and succeeded to find out his own splendid 'music color.' With his pure mind and strong lov of music, he can move the whole nation only by his music.
Considering these, the logo should be amended to 'sell your soul, not your music.' Pasteur said, "Scientists have nationalities, but science has no borders." Hence, the music can be considered as 'science,' which could be shared all over the world. In this sense, musicians like Seo Tae-Ji is selling their soul, not for a commercial greed, rather expressing and giving keenness to the world regardless of the borders.
In the globalization era, this logo is a too strong indictment and also an awkward one because people share the information, and the borders among the countries are destroyed. Like what Pasteur said, music, culture, or one's color should be held in common among countries.
