This is the one and only quilt I've made for myself. It is a Triple Irish Chain. It was machine pieced and hand quilted. The larger white areas have a double heart pattern in the center and the rest of the quilt is entirely random stitched by hand. It was very tedious and took about 9 months to make. All of the 2 1/2" squares were cut and pieced individually opposed to strip quilting). Some of the fabrics used were from my grandma, some from scraps left over from clothing made for my kids, husband and myself.

This quilt was made from one of my first attempts at foundation paper piecing. The block was called "Cracker." Other than the white on white background, the entire top was made from my scraps :)

I made this Noah's Ark quilt for a Christmas gift for my brother-in-law and sister-in-law in 1998.

This is a the tree skirt that I completed in the summer of 1998 for our family Christmas tree. I love it so much that I don't even put any packages under the tree until the last possible moment :)

This blue quilt and the one directly below were the first two quilts I made. I cringe when I look at them now! I had NO experience and had not a clue as to what I was doing. Both were before I'd heard of chain sewing. Can you imagine how dumb I felt when I realized how much precious time I'd wasted while piecing these?
The one above was made for my cousin for a wedding gift.

This quilt was made for my sister-in-law-to-be for a bridal shower gift. Sorry the picture isn't that great. The cute little body sitting on it is though. This is my daughter, Allison. She was not quite two years old at the time.

Allison is once again in the picture with the quilt. Wonder if she'll be a quilter someday?
