The many fans of Jordan Knight patiently await the release of his sophomore album. According to Miguel Melendez, Knight’s manager, he has stated, “January of 2000, a single will be released”, and the whole album shortly afterwards. Jordan stated in an interview that took place on November 6, 2000 at 102.7 KIIS fm radio with LA’s popular announcer JoJo Wright, “The album contains all new, original, upbeat songs”. Jordan once again has enlisted the assistance of Jimmy Jam, producer of other singers like Janet Jackson, for the creation of his next masterpiece.

In between this busy time of his recording in such places as Los Angles, Minneapolis and London, Jordan has managed to take some time out. But not to rest, he participated in a charity basketball game in New York along with *NSYNC, on July 29, 2000. *NSYNC, the now popular boy band, toured with Jordan for a few months during the summer of ‘99. Jordan also made a spot appearance by reading a line-up for a few performances at a Mixfest in Boston on September 23, 2000. The Mixfest was an all day concert of several performers, sponsored by one of the local radio stations in the Boston area. Prior to that, he was also sighted doing similar spots in MN.

The fan support of Jordan has never really left him. This proof was in the other countries, more than here in the U.S. In his debut CD entitled Jordan Knight, he released an extra track for European and Asian countries. The song “Can I Come Over Tonight” is a pure hidden jewel. The lyrics and his voice in this song, according to many female fans; has made them beautiful about them selves after they have had an argument with their man. “Can I Come Over Tonight” can also be found in the U.S. but, only as an encrypted track of a ‘99 release of YM Hotracks Vol. 1.This album includes other artists such as Back Street Boys, ‘NSYNC and 98°. But sadly, encrypted tracks can only be played in computers, no way can one play it in a home or a car stereo.

Proof of his continued support by fans, shone through in the Philippines. A radio station in Manila, 89.9 DWTM Magic, played “Broken By You”. “Broken By You” is the sixth song on his debut album, which clearly showers his fans with his exquisite falsetto voice. Even though Interscope Records never released this track as a single, the fans in the Philippians fell in love with it. This song was voted into the top ten radio countdown for several weeks. This caught the eye of Jordan and he generously took time out of his busy recording schedule. He called the radio station in July 2000. Live on the air, he thanked all of the fans and answered a few quick questions.

Also during the time of recording, Jordan added a new song to the Snow Day motion picture soundtrack. This soundtrack, entitled Snow Day, was released in 2000 and includes other artists like Hoku, 98° and Smash Mouth. The new song of Jordan’s was “My Heart’s Saying Now”. Without a doubt, this song is a ballad with a very catchy upbeat. Incontestably, this track rises far above the others that appear on the soundtrack. This song should have put Jordan over the top of the charts. Are the negative comments critics made a decade ago still haunting this heartthrob? For all of those who haven’t recalled the famous name, Jordan Knight , instantly think hard. Yes, he was the most talented member of the former successful boy band, NKOTB (New Kids on the Block). Critics back then refused too see what fans have always known; pure, unconditional talent shining, through the impressive Jordan Knight.

Jordan, now 30, emerged back into the limelight in the beginning of ‘99 with a sleek and funky new adult style. On the ostentatious, addictive first single, “Give It To You”, he spells out the transformation in full: “Anyone can make you sweat / But I can keep you wet!” This is a well loved verse by fans but, the word 'wet' has been edited by the popular television show, MTV. However, in a performance live on Regis and Kathy Lee, Jordan sang the song proudly. Many of that shows viewers tuned in that day, heard all of that song unedited, and saw all of his hot and sexy dance moves. When asked in an interview in Brazil what the song “Give It To You” meant, he simply replied, “Good Old-fashioned sex!”

Jordan, a first time father at age 29, was asked what inspires him. The question was asked during a contest held by his website. On September 14, 2000. Twenty winners received the chance to chat with him for an hour. Jordan so generously stopped into the main chat room to say “Hi” to many of the non-winners before going on into the winners’ room to chat. His reply to the question was, “Inspiration to live life well? It’s a miracle that any of us are here, and we only go this way once!”

Jordan Knight still has all the right stuff that makes women scream in unison. When many of these women were asked, they all agreed that they would be loving Jordan Knight forever. His voice melts hearts faster than any teen idol’s term of fame. A teen idol he was and probably will always be. Fans precisely refuse to let this heartthrob stop beating anytime soon.
