Summary:
Since I recorded Jordan and Joey on the "MTV 20 Live and Almost Legal," I wanted to add a bit more of the interview for those who have not been able to see it. John Norris mentions how he started with MTV 12 years ago, about the same time that New Kids first appeared on MTV so he mentioned how he was also a New Kid on MTV. Refers to Jordan and Joey as his friends. Joey says the following:
Joey: "Yeah, I am sure you had a lot of fluffy interviews but we have bones to pick with MTV, I am watching that Pop Special"...Jordan laughs...(Since John interrupts)...Joey ends by saying "What, before what, you're the boss."
John proceeeds to ask Jordan what MTV 20th means to him.
Jordan: "We grew up watching MTV and you know just being here part of the whole MTV Culture is a great thing, you know, an honor for us."
Joey: "I grew up watching myself...People say did what did you do, did you run home from school?"..."I was on TV actually when I was running home from school." Jordan laughs.
John askes Jordan about a possible second generation of New Kids being that he has a 2 year old son. Joey laughs and says: "Oh Jesus" Jordan laughs. Joey says: "Next time his son is going solo...Mimics Jordan, "You are going solo son." Jordan laughs. Jordan says, "We'll see, we'll see how many I'll have." John motions to Joey that he will need to start reproducing as well, if its gonna happen. Jordan laughs then says, "No, but listen, listen, he watches MTV and his fave video is "Get Your Freaks On." Joey is smiling.
John ends the interview by referring Jordan and Joey as "Pop Music Originators you guys."
