Gabriel's First Year

Month One

Ahhh, my first bath!  I love the water already! (2 days)

Mommy and I on her 28th Birthday!  July was a great month to be born! (8 days)

My big Brother (Josh) and I after our bath.  (3 1/2 weeks)

We love to hang out, just the guys!

I am so big now!  1 month old!!

A note from Mommy: Time is slipping so quickly, I can't believe that a month has gone by already.  Gabriel is doing very well!  He gained back his birth weight (8lbs, 5oz) in 6 days, and proceded to gain another pound the following week!  Gabriel now weighs 10lbs, 12 oz at 1 month old, what a big boy! He is nursing very well, and sleeps 5-7 hours at night.  We are fortuneate that he sleeps very well, because the remainder of little Gabriel's day is spent crying.  Our poor baby suffers from colic.:( Oliver and I are still amazed that we were able to create our third perfect, healthy baby boy.  I just wish time would slow down a bit so I could catch my breath, and hold onto him just a little longer.......

Month Two

Time to go, but Baba won't let go!  She really loves me!!

We went back home when I was 6 weeks old for my first introduction to the church.

My first smiles!  Mommy says I look just like my oldest brother (Jacob) when I smile! 8 weeks old

Month Three

I just love to flash my smile:) (9w)

TummyTime!!  11 weeks

A note from Mommy: My sweet little boy is growing so quickly.  He is already showing his independence as he begins to gain control over his limbs and actions.  I can't wait to see the little boy he is becoming, but I already miss who he was just a few short hours ago.  I thought that the third time would be easier.:) Gabriel is growing at such a rapid rate that I can only guess his weight is close to 14 lbs.  He can push up his upper body with such strength, that it will be just a matter of weeks before he is rolling over!  I have finally had the pleasure of getting to know my little man.  His colic ended about a week ago, and he is such a doll when his isn't in pain.  Gabriel still isn't sleeping through the night, but I am not too concerned because I love our time to snuggle and nurse in the wee hours.:)

Month Four

My brothers love me so much!  Here I am at 13 weeks old, with my big brothers (Jacob and Joshua).

I am almost 4 months old!! I can do so many things already!  I love to hold my toys, play in my super-saucer, and watch my brothers run around the house.  I have been working hard at sitting up, and can sit well with support (although Mommy still has to catch me on camera). I have also learned how to sleep a little longer at night.  I think that Mommy is really happy about it because she is smiling a lot more lately.:)

15 weeks old

Month Five

I am 17 weeks old, and so cute!!

I am only 4 months old, and things are getting very busy!  I was Christened this month in Toronto, and I got to meet all of my friends and family!  It was wonderful to see everyone, and I got a lot of beautiful gifts! Visit my Christening page for pictures of my special day!

Month Seven

I can sit and play!  Life is good!! (6m)

Month Eight

rolling, rolling, rolling......nothing is out or reach for me now! (7m)

A note from Mommy: Seven months have passed like seven days.  I am still getting used to the idea that we have been blessed with three children.  Gabriel has blossomed into an adorable little baby.  He loves to snuggle, and smother my face with baby kisses.  Gabriel is a very sensitive baby, and has no problem expressing what he needs.  Once we were able to figure out how to soothe Gabriel, life has been so much easier for him and us.:)  He is a great sleeper and eater, and loves to nurse.  I don't think this little man will be weaning anytime soon.  I am very thankful for the ability to nurse him this long, it gives us a nice break and an opportunity to re-connect amongst the chaos of our daily activities.

Month Nine

Month Ten

Here is my Easter picture!  I am not very happy.:( (9m)

I'm 9 months! This was a very busy month for me!  I decided that rolling was not the best mode of transportation, and chose to start crawling instead.  I love to put my little hands on everything.  Although I hurt my little finger when I put it into the vent from the cold air return!  I think I will be more careful for now on. I got my first two teeth this month!  I wasn't too happy when they were coming through, but I am starting to like them because I can eat many more things, like cookies! I also decided to give in and take a bottle this month.  Mommy and Daddy seem so excited and proud of me, but I haven't decided if I am done with nursing yet.  I think I will hold on a little longer......

Month Eleven

I flash my smile and can get anything I want!

Bathtime is so much fun! (10m)

Mommy keeps me busy by putting Cheerios on my tray.  Yum!

I love my Daddy and my Mommy, but they are always trying to give me hugs and kisses!

Month Twelve

I am 11 months now and am growing up so quickly!

A note from Mommy: Reflecting on Gabriel's past year brings me such joy and sorrow at the same time.  I can't believe that it has been a year since I gave birth to my 3rd Son.  I can still remember how worried I was when I found out that we were pregnant again, and how I fell in love with this surprise addition to our family the instant he was born. We can't wait to see what is in store for us in Gabriel's second year.:) We love you baby Gabe...
