What you need to get started:
Real Quaker Oatmeal-please do not substitute imitation, or generic oatmeal-do not sacrifice taste for a lower cost
A medium or larger banana
A variety of milk - I prefer plain or vanilla soy milk
A pot
A stovetop, or hot plate
A spoon with which you can cut the banana, stir the oatmeal, and feast so as to minimize dish-washing
A bowl for feasting (much more enjoyable than eating directly out of the pot)
Optional:
Raisins, dried cranberries, other fruit, nuts (be creative!)

Directions:
Follow instructions on Quaker Oatmeal box, replacing water with milk (this adds calcium, and tastes better!) When you see the oats starting to absorb the milk, add banana by chunk. Mush it right it. Keep mushing. Hopefully you remembered to remove the banana skin, or it might not mush well. At the point when the milk has been nearly absorbed, add your optional items. Shortly thereafter, transfer oatmeal to serving bowl. Let sit for approximately 60 seconds, if you can bear to wait.
