Endless Stretches of interstate lines
I must admit after all these years,
I had to see you one last time.
I was workin' late one night,
Hummin' to a tune
When that ol' familiar song
Brought it all back too soon.
That's when I realized:
I miss the talks at 3am,
And the dimples on your chin.
I miss that smile, and those blue eyes-
They always left me mesmerized.
I miss my friend, miss my love.
You were my angel from above.
I miss the meaning you brought to my life.
I miss the fire in the night.
The one I run to in my mind,
And every morning I open my eyes
Still expecting to see you at my side.
So new days bring disappointment
And the pain of knowing you've gone,
And there's one thing left you ought to know-
Something I should have known all along:

Since I last saw your face,

It's just a test of time

I thought I could get over you,

But the lonliness prevailed-

Magic in the air,
It's all moving so fast
And came out of nowhere.
There's always a smile
On my face when you talk
Even though I stumble on my words
And can barely walk.
I had forgotten what it was like
And had given up on love
Then you popped into my life
Like you were magically sent from above.
I feel as though
I've known you all my life
But we just met
And you talk of making me your wife
Part of me is trying so hard
To find something wrong with you
Because I'm scared to love again
But there's nothing else to do
That's why they call it falling
Love is just a risk
So I guess we'll see if I seal my fate

The days fly by
Knowing you're far away
But there's no more tears to cry.
I've lied awake so many nights
And dreamed away many days
?Always hoping that you would see
I was just confused, crazed.
I made mistakes
It's something we all do
But you act like you're perfect
I think you're a fool
You've thrown away the only thing
You said you'd always love
The thing you'd cherish forever, you said
The one that was sent from above.
Now you've forgotten all the joy
And made a life anew
With someone who you barely know
Who will never love you like I do.
But I accept it,
Move on with my life
I'm seeing someone else now
He's asked me to be his wife
I said "Of course!"
And happy we will be
Spending our life together
