Laughter

She threw her head back and laughed--so hard the tears came and her bladder relaxed. Kneeling beside him, she thumped her hand against his chest, screeching her delight. Her side ached and she began to gasp for air then hiccup. Exhaustion took over and she let her quivering self fall forward in a kind of kowtow next to him, her forehead coming to resting on the bloodstained carpet.
