About half way through the movie JJ had fallen asleep on the couch, so Aunt Tammy had covered him with a blanket and then went into the kitchen to make the popcorn. Ok kiddo, here’s the plan. After the movie is done, I want you to get up and turn the lights down low ok? Ok, then what? Then just watch. Ok, I can do that. A couple of minutes later, Aunt Tammy came back into the living room and we finished watching Beauty and the Beast.
After it was done, I slowly got off the couch and went over and dimmed the lights. You could hear the song from Beauty and the Beast playing in the background. Then Nick stood up and said Tammy will you dance with me? Yes I will. Pretty soon they were dancing around the living room. Then all of the sudden Nick stopped dancing, kissed Tammy on the lips and got down on one knee and said, Would you make my fairy tale dreams come true and marry me? Tears were streaming down Aunt Tammy’s face and she said simply “Yes.” Then they kissed again. YEAH!!!!! Do I get to be in the wedding???? They both jumped about a hundred feet in the air. I guess they forgot that I was watching them. You sure do pip-squeak how would you like to be my flowergirl? You bet! Now how about we all curl up on the couch and watch another movie.
That’s where Jonathan and Jennifer found the four of them when they returned home later that night. Glancing at them, Jennifer turned to Jonathan and asked him, do you think we look like that when were sleeping she asked. I’d bet money on it. Come on lets wake them up, I’m sure Tammy and Nick want to finish out their night in private. Jonathan said. Jennifer went over and gently shook Tammy awake. Hey sleepyhead, its time to get up, we’re home. Hey Jennifer, Jonathan, how was the ball? It was terrific, how was your night? Like a fairy tale Tammy said holding out her left hand. Oh my, Jennifer said, giving her friend a hug, its about time. Hey hey congratulations you two Jonathan said. Thank you, Nick said stirring from his slumber. We have your daughter to thank for this. Our daughter Jonathan and Jennifer said in unison. Yep, if she hadn’t given me the idea, I don’t think I would have ever proposed, well at least not tonight. Speaking of which, I think I had better get them both on up to bed, Jennifer said. And as she raised JL from her sleeping position, JL turned to her mommy and said, Guess what mommy I get to be a flower girl and fell back asleep on her mother's shoulder.
