Guess what I got today? You’ll never guess, and I ain’t going to tell you, not yet at least. But I’ll tell you what happened BEFORE I got it ok? OK. Daddy, J.J., and I went out to get mommy a present for her birthday, its tomorrow. He got her a very pretty necklace and some earrings to go with it. The necklace has 3 intertwined (that’s what daddy calls it, I call it linked together). Daddy says that one of the hearts is for him, one is for me and one is for JJ, so that mommy could have us with her always. I love it, it think it is so pretty just like my mommy, I know she’ll love it. Well, while we were there he told me that I could pick out something to give her just from me. I told him that there was nothing in the store there that I wanted to give her, but I did know the store that had it in there, and he told me to show him. So I took him down to the Discovery store and there it was, sitting in the middle of everything. That’s what I want to give her I said. You sure you want to give her that princess? Daddy looks kinda puzzled but doesn’t ask me why. That’s it daddy, that’s the perfect present for mommy. Ok he says and gets the man behind the counter to wrap it up. The nice man behind the counters name is David cause it says so on his name tag. David comes out from behind the counter and gives me the present all wrapped up in silver paper and a big bow on it. Who is this for he asks me. I told him it’s for my mommy for her birthday. Will you tell me why you’re giving your mommy this for her birthday? No, but I’ll whisper it in your ear. After I whispered why I was giving my mommy this he turns to me and says you know, that’s a good idea. Maybe I’ll give my mommy one for her birthday too. I know I made a good choice. Daddy, JJ and I head out to the car, and I tell daddy that I can’t wait until mommy’s birthday tomorrow. You PROMISE you won’t tell mommy what I got her? I promise. I know I can trust my daddy. On the way home, I look over at JJ to ask him something and he has fallen asleep in his car seat. I guess we really wore him out. Speaking of sleeping that doesn’t sound like a bad idea, so I think I’ll shut my eyes and rest for just a minute.
I guess I must have fallen asleep, cause the next thing I know I’m waking up in my own bed. How did I get here? Wasn’t I in the car still with daddy? Oh well. I sat up to look around for mommy or daddy and that’s when I saw it, my surprise. A computer. Not like one of those toy computers like JJ has, but a big persons computer just like mommy has. MOMMY, I yelled, MOMMY COME HERE. Mommy appears in the doorway with a smile on her face, Yes sweetheart? Is that really mine? It sure is. REALLY? Yes Really. But when am I going to sit on your lap? Whenever you want to silly one, you’ll never be too big for my lap, and don’t you forget it. I won’t mommy, I promise giving her a big hug and a kiss. Thank you very much, now will you show me what programs are on it? Cause I already know how to turn it on. Sure, come on.
So that’s what I’m writing my journal on, my very own computer. Daddy looked at my mommy and told her that she was spoiling me too much, and mommy told him that it wasn’t like she was buying me a racehorse or something like that. She said that I would be able to use this computer for years and that its educational. But daddy said that she was still spoiling me. And like you don’t? She said and kissed him square on the lips before coming over to me to help me with my computer. |
