.....Damn Yankees!
My dream of a World Series disapeared in a matter of minutes last Thursday. Being so close . It was great a baseball year even if we didnt make it top, You Red Sox are still the best.

Thursday, October 16, 2003

Go Red Sox!
Its the Boston Red Sox and New York Yankees tonight in the game that flips the coin for the World Series with the Florida Marlins. There are some people who have been waiting to see the Red Sox in the world Series including myself. As I write this the bottom of the 7th inning, score is 4 to 2, Boston has never been this close to the world series in many-a-moon. Its now the top of the 8th, 5 to 2.

Its Fall, My favorite times of the year.

.....Iraqi people one, Saddam Zero.
Thousands more of Iraqi people died in the war than I had thought would die. But I guess with Time being an important factor in this war, you have to shoot first and ask questions later. Its still early enought in the war to think that thousands more will be killed in the months ahead. I remember last night I was watching theCBSNews.com's "LIVE NOW! Baghdad cam", and its focused on the center of Bagdad where a large bronze statue of Saddam stood. This morning I see US Marines help some Iraqi people tear down this symbol, on live video yet seen around the world. Hey, thats worth a page in the history books. War in the middle east will continue, and terror groups for ever because ignorance follows ignorance in this world as it has for thousands of years.
Lets see, Syira is not being very cooperative, and is pissing Rumsfeld off and they are after all "Evil" according to President Bush. Its true, right?

.....Nice day weather wise here today.

.....At least half of the people in this Country does not approve of the way our "American Leaders" have handled the Iraq issue. I have to agree with them that this war should not have been started without the approval of the United Nationals Counsel. I do agree that current leader of the Iraqi People should not be allowed to continue in power. This is the first in a number of Countries that the USA will try to reform to "Our" way of thinking, or face war. But we need to convince the UN, and agree on the means by which we go about it.
The United States State Department recognizes 192 independent countries around the world. Their list of 192 countries reflects the political agenda of the United States of America and its allies. President Bush only has about 30 of those countries on his side about the war with Iraq. That's only about 15%.
I'm watching NBC news right now on TV. There several hundred protesters on the streets of San Francisco, and many are blocking traffic on the off ramps and other main arteries. Freedom of speach all the way, but why make other Americans spend hours in traffic jams, and some to be late for work. We may find out in the days to come that while most of our law inforcement is being used to control protesters, some of our Americans will suffer for it.
Do You know who your neighbor is?

.....Happy Saint Patrick's Day to all the Irish folk.
In 432 A.D., Bishop Patrick left his home in England and returned to the country where he had once been enslaved. His purpose was to introduce Christianity to the Irish people. Many legends were told about Patrick, including the most famous, that he had charmed all the snakes into the sea, ridding Ireland of them. He was so loved that he was made the patron saint of all of Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day has been celebrated in Ireland on his feast day, March 17th, since the year 461. Today, Saint Patrick’s Day is still a legal, national holiday in Ireland and Northern Ireland.
