NEW HAMPSHIRE STATE POLICE
The New Hampshire State Police operates out of Six Troops along with special operations divisions to provide safety and law enforcement to the citizens and vistors of New Hampshire. While their presence is mostly noticed on the interstates and highways of New Hampshire, They are active in almost all major cases in the Granite State as well as provide police service to many smaller communities. The Narcotics, Major Crimes, Special Investigations, Highway Enforcement all operate under the State Police. In addition, Executive Security of the Governer and State House is provided by NHSP.

The New Hampshire State Police operates on a state of the art VHF High-Band Digital System. NHSP uses Motorola Astro radio's utilizing
APCO Project-25 (P25) Digital Technology. All troops as well as DMV Highway Patrol, NH Fish & Game, NH Marine Patrol and the Forest Protection Bureau (DRED) utilize the NHSP digital radio system. Through various grants, most county sheriff's dispatch centers and many local police departments now operate P-25 digital and have interoperability with NHSP.
