SOUTHWESTERN NEW HAMPSHIRE DISTRICT FIRE MUTUAL AID Keene,NH
		Southwest (aka Keene Mutual Aid) is made up of communities in Cheshire County, Southern Sullivan, Western Hillsborough Counties in New Hampshire, Windham, Southern Windsor, Eastern Bennington Counties in Vermont and Winchendon, Massachusetts; Making it the larget dispatch center based in New Hampshire.  A total of 79 Fire departments & 18 Ambulance Services  The year round population of these areas is about 200,000 with summer tourism increases to nearly 350,000. On the surface, Southwest runs a fragmented system. However, the system is very well organized and utilizes multiple frequencies for Dispatch and Fireground functions. The Dispatch is refered to by their callsign on that particular frequency. This helps distinguish between the various fire, EMS and police frequencies. Multiple Microwave and UHF links are also utilized to assist dispatch cover the large area they're responsible for. Dispatch is staffed by 10-Full Time and 7-Part Time Communications Specialists.
