On this page you will find the E-mail messages that Ben and Meg sent or intended to send to each other - those when they knew each other as Dorothy From Kansas and SB, and those when they already loved each other as Ben and Meg.

"The Last Chat"

"The 'Last' Chat" is the Intenet coversation Dorothy had with SB on her wedding day to Tim. In this chat Dorothy and SB said their good-byes. This was the first scene in which we saw our couple 'interacting'.  I don't have to add that last it was supposed to be, but in fact it was just the beggining. And the rest is Sunset Beach's history.

Dorothy From Kansas. It's SB. Congratulations.

Thanks. I guess. I'm surprised you remembered.

So I guess this is it for us.

I can't imagine not talking to you.

Our Cyber chats have meant more to me than I can ever put into words.

Only if they didn't have to end.

Tim probably wouldn't apprecaite it. I'll miss you, Dorothy From Kansas, or whatever your real name is.

I'll miss you, too, SB.

If you ever get down, or crazy, or just need to connect, you know where to find me.

"I'm Coming"

"I'm coming" is the second chat featured in Sunset Beach's premiere episode - when Meg connected with SB to tell him that she's coming to Sunset Beach. Before she could get his reply the connection was lost, and good, LOL. Cause she didn't turn back, in fact,  she couldn't. She was already on board of the plane flying to Sunset Beach.

Remember when you said that if I ever get down or crazy or just need to connect I know
where to find you? Well, you shouldn't say something like that if you don't mean it.
You never know, I may just surprise you in Sunset Beach. Anyway, my wedding's on hold.
Indefinitely. If you give me your address maybe I could look you up and...
CONNECTION LOST
Stay in Kansas, Dorothy. I never meant for you to come to Sunset Beach.
Don't try to contact me in person or over the Net.
Good bye. SB.

"Compliments of Tiffany"

"Compliments of Tiffany" are fragments of SB and Dorothy's chats which we had an opportunity to 'read' thanks to Tiffany, the girl who stole Meg's backpack and the print outs with it.  The first chat was read aloud by Tiffany when she found the print-outs, the second she quoted to Mark, and the third I managed to read from the screen when Ben picked up the print-outs from the floor where Tiffany left them after she'd broken into Ben's house.

From SB:
"It's strange. We've never even met, but watching the sunset tonight I couldn't stop missing you."

From SB:
"A gentle rain is quietening the ocean. It's as if the whole wide world knows that  no message came from Kansas this week."

From Dorothy:
"The fight was about the wedding vows. You don't think it's prophetic, do you?"

"Tim Matter"

"Tim Matter" is a fragment of an Internet chat S.B. and Dorothy had about her feelings for Tim. Ben read that fragment to himself minutes before Meg contacted him about the meeting on the pier."

            SB: When you say you don't think he loves you enough, what do you mean?  Dorothy?

            DFK:  I always thought that when you fell in love everything would just work out.  I guess I'm afraid he'll
            cheat on me, and I don't think I could get past that.  Even though other people do, I don't think I could.

"The Meeting"

"The Meeting" is the actual e-mail message Meg wrote to Ben when she discovered that Casey WASN'T S.B. and wanted to finally find out who S.B. WAS. In this E-mail she asked SB to meet her at the pier at sunset, to which Ben agreed, but as we remember he wasn't able to keep his promise because Annie held him in his office at gun point.

To: S.B.@sunsetbeach.com
Subject: Hi

SB, it's me, Dorothy. SB, I know you didn't want me to come to Sunset Beach, but I got your message when I was already here. I'm not leaving until we at least meet face to face. I deserve that! One face to facemeeting. You owe it to me for all that we shared and all I gave up to come here. If you have one tigger ofdecency, you'll meet me on the pier at sunset. If you can look me in the eye and tell me you want me to go I'll never bother you again.

"I'll be there."

"Good-Bye"

"Goodbye" is the message Tiffany sent to Meg as S.B. shortly after she'd found out that SB and Dorothy wre supposed to meet on the pier, but I didn't work out.

            To: Dorothy_From_Kansas@inkspot.com
            Subject: Goodbye

            Dear Dorothy,

            I shouldn't have agreed to meeting you on the pier. I never had any intention of showing up. I've accepted
            an offer to move to Paris and work, so this really is goodbye.

            S.B.

"Sorry I Missed You"

"Sorry I Missed You" is the real message that Ben  sent to Meg  after the meeting on the pier didn't happen. Unfortunately at this point Meg terminated her e-mail account having received the  above message sent by Tiffany.

        To: Dorothy_From_Kansas@inkspot.com
        Subject: Sorry I Missed You

        Sorry I missed you at the pier, it couldn't be helped. I'm still ready to meet face-to-face.
        My real name is Ben Evans.

        You can find me at The Deep.

"Ben, It's Me, Meg"

"Ben, it's me. Meg." is the Internet conversation Meg had with - as she believed -  "SB". In reality it was Annie, who used Ben's computer to drive Meg away from Sunset Beach.

SB, it's Dorothy. I'm sorry about the way things happened before, but I've only recently found out that you  DID come that night to the pier. And maybe things would be different and we would have connected. It's too late.

Dorothy, is it you?

After all those months of the relationship over the Internet, I... I think it's time to tell you what I found out.

Maybe this isn't such a good idea.

Ben, it's me, Meg. Believe it or not, it's true. I'm Dorothy. All this time we've been right under each other's  noses so to speak.  I didn't know who you were for a long time, but ever since I found out I tried to tell you, but I let one chance after another slip away, but I can't wait any more. I wanna help you to get passed Annie. I wanna help you get her over.

I will always be greatful for your help, Meg, but I've known who you are all this time.

Why didn't you tell me?

I sensed your falling for me so I didn't wanna hurt your feelings. Annie was more than a friend to me. She was the love of my life. And now thatshe's gone I wanna honour her memory. I know I could never love you.Meg,it's best you and I don't see each other again. Go back to where you came from. It's too painfull for me to face you.

CONNECTION TERMINATED

"The Memo"

"The Memo" is the memo Meg wrote to Ben just before quitting the job in The Deep. Ben came across it on the day of the cave-in as he was working in his office and it made him ponder for a moment about Meg. Even the simple memo reminded him of her. I know that a lot of the viewers didn't manage to read it while it was on screen, so I decided to put it here.

MEMO:    TO: BEN EVANS
               FROM: MEG CUMMINGS
               DATE: JULY 1, 1997
               RE: VACATION SCHEDULING

Dear Boss,
Encluded you'll find the vacation schedules of all Java Web emploees.
We tried to take out vacation at different times... I hope this meets with
your approval. Let me know if you want to change any of the vacation
dates.

"SB is Back"

Here you'll find the messages Ben repeatedly sent to Meg, when she left for Kansas - the messages Meg never read as Annie erased them. What a waste!

        ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
      Dear Dorothy From Kansas,
        I miss you.
        Do you remember when we first talked on-line and I told you how void my life was?
        Then I got to know you and  you filled the void.
        SB
      Dorothy,
        It's SB. Please, answer me.
      Dear Dorothy From Kansas,
        Just let me know you're O.K.
        Please.
"The Phoenix"
Here you'll find the very special message which Ben wrote to Meg sitting late at night at his office at The Deep and thinking about her. At the same time Meg couldn't stop thinking about him and she found their picture in her bag, the picture which Vanessa had hidden before Meg left Sunset Beach.
To:  Dorothy From Kansas
Subject : The Phoenix
I believe that even though you think our relationship is dead, it can rise from ashes.  If you let me make things right, the way they should have been, like when we first connected on the Internet and you followed your heart to Sunset Beach.
Only if you knew how much happiness your smile gave me. How your spirit and love of life lit up every corner in the room you walked into.
Come back, and I'll show you all the places we were planning to go to. Like Venice - the most romantic city in the world. Anywhere. It wouldn't matter as long as we were together.
The colors of the sunset aren't as bright without you here.
Please, come back.
I love you.
SB
"The Sunsets"
Here you'll find one of the many messages that SB sent to Dorothy From Kansas. Meg read that message in Kansas and arrived at a conclusion that it was that message that made her realize she loved SB. Thank you, Janice!
To: Dorothy From Kansas
Subject: The sunsets at Sunset Beach
You asked about our sunsets.  We'll there as bit as magical as you would expect, and more.  Some swear they've been bewitched by them and I'm beginning to think that it might be true.  How else can you explain the tradition that occurs here every day as the sun begins its kaleidiscopic descent.  To a person, this town pauses to watch the last glimmer of daylight, intoxicated by the dance of color in the sky.  There's nothing, save the hide of a gentle woman, quite as exqusite.
SB
"The Unsent"
Here you'll find two messages that Meg once wrote to Ben, but never sent them.
The first one was written when Meg was at Kansas and, tried as she might, she couldn't forget about Ben. So, she wrote this very short, but wonderful note. Unfortunately, before she sent it, she got the awful E-mail designed by Annie to keep Meg apart from Ben for good.
Dear Ben,
I left you to come home, but now that I'm here, I realized that you are my home. I love you.
Meg.
The second one Meg wrote after the conversation she had with Vanessa about the most romantic day of her life and the reasons she run out of Ben's house. With this message she wanted to explain her behavior to Ben and tell him how much she loved him, but fortunately, she never sent this message. Instead, she went to The Deep to talk to Ben personally and we were given some of the best scenes with our Super Couple.
To: SB
From: Dorothy From Kansas
About tonight. I... I don't know what came over me. You did everything right, everything  I ever dreamed of. And more.  And that's why I'm writing, SB. I want you to know how much I loved all the magical things that you did and how sorry I am I ran out on you and that I'm really not scared of you... It's...
"The Love Letter"
"The Love Letter" is the letter Meg wrote to Ben, but unfortuantely he never got it because he was chained up in the warehouse. Derek was the one who got the letter. A damn awful shame.
Thank you for being you. You make me see each day in so many ways how very special you are. I love you more than I ever thought possible.
                                                                                                                        Your Meg
"Wedding Jitters"
"Wedding Jitters" is a very short, but oh so sweet note that Meg left Ben when she hurried to take care of ANOTHER pre-wedding must be done thing.
Ben,
We went to get some thank you notes for the gifts. Even Tim sent something, can you believe this? Ben, we're really getting married! I'm counting the days.
I love you,
Meg
