Jodhi T. May was born 1975 in London, England where she also was brought up. Her debut movie was A World Apart when she was twelve. While at Camden School she was very excited. That's all she would talk about. Photographers were surounding the school. Around that time Jodhi appeared as a guest in the British Talk Show- Wogan. " She was very nervous. She wore a white dress." In that same year (1988) Jodhi was awarded Best Actress at the Cannes Film Festival and Most Promising Newcomer at the Laurence Oliver Awards

In 1992, Jodhi got the part that would be the movie everyone remembers her in, as the quiet sister in The Last of the Mohicans, opposite Eric Schweig. Because of filming abroad, Jodhi had to take five months off at Camden School for Girls and had to reschuedle her GCSE's (exams).

In 1994 Jodhi was offered to read English Literature at Wadham College. Jodhi thought long and  hard about the offer and decided to take them up on it. While focusing on her studies, Jodhi took a breather from acting. She Mastered in English Literature. One of the many books she immeresed was Henry James'
The Turn of the Screw, which later starred in.

In 1997 Jodhi was finishing up her last year at Wadham. She also was working on
The Woodlanders in Dorest, England. Jodhi was very focused on her studies that she insisted only on working on weekends and when the college gave her permission.

   In 1998 Jodhi won
The Silver Dolphin at the Festroia-Troia International Film Festival for her part as Anna, , for The Gambler which labeled her no longer as a child starlet but a young talented women actress.

   In 1999, twenty-three Jodhi starred in BBC's
Aristocrats as Lady Sarah Lennox.  Costum designers noticed her pulling her her low cut dress. As she said, it's intruging to play someone you would not normanly be.

Also in 1999, twenty-four Jodhi starred with Colin Firth and Pam Ferris in
The Turn of the Screw. Where she was opposite Colin Firth, who was just on the set for a day.

Jodhi has recently done some theatrical work in between her really busy schedule filming movies back to back-.
The EscapistTipping the Velvet, and Daniel Deronda. What's next? Let's hope more  (and more) success!

Jodhi lives by herself in London (which means she's probably not married.) She doesn't own a TV, but sometimes thinks about owning one. When the time comes. For now she has her hands full with all her films.

Jodhi is fluent in English and French. Her mother, Jocelyn, is French. Her father is German
