Bio and martial arts background Erik Betts is a magnificent self-taught martial artist and gymnast. He started training at the age of 11, inspired by his favorite hero; Spider-man. He has been training for over 22 years. Singing is another specialty of his. Being a popular acrobat, he was asked to do stunt and fight parts in movies, and some small acting roles. SOme of his most known stunt-roles were Power Rangers, WMAC-Masters and Shootfighter 1. His style is named Hollywood Kung Fu (HKF). It is used for fights in movies, and is a martial arts combined with acrobatics. He founded Flip 'N Kicks Acrobatics Centers and teaches his style there. He trained many stuntmen, acrobats, actors and Olympic Competitors, like Michele Krasnoo and Daniel Bernhardt. In 1996 Erik broke his right hip, during an episode of WMAC-Masters. It would take several surgeries and 3 years for him to recover. Now he's back on his feet and many movies await him. He's even having a child with Melissa Barker, also a great stunt performer. The child's name is Jaden Isaiah Betts. |
