As a child, Dave could choose to be a street kid, or a martial arts person. He choose for martial arts at the age of 13. He began training in Shotokan Karate. David Lea's martial arts skills are most popular in Britain, but he's a rising star in the US.
After Shotokan Karate he also practised Wing Chun Kung Fu, which he studied for 7 years in London. He went to the Orient where he trained at many schools in many arts. He practised Shaolin 5-Animals Kung Fu in Malaysia adn Pemtjak Silat. Tae Kwon Do he learned in Singapore.
In the early 80's he returned to England and was introduced to Guru Dan Inosanto. Dave went to the States and learned Kali, Eskrima, Jun Fan Kung Fu and Jeet Kune Do. These skills helped Dave starting his movie carreer, because in 1989 he was asked to be Batman's double.
Now Dave had some acting roles but is a very popular stuntman and coordinator and has been working with some of the greatest such as Will Smith and Sly Stallone.
