Bio and martial arts background Born on 26 April 1963 in Beijing, China. Jet Li is the one of the greatest action stars together with people such as Jackie Chan and Donnie Yen. All of them made some great Oriental action movies and are now stars in the US. Jet Li started his training at the age of 9 at the Beijing Wushu Academy. He won his first championship at the age of 11. In total he has won 5 gold medals in Chinese Championships. He was a great martial artist and athlete. Jt now has over 25 years of experience. In his teen years he was a coach and before his 20th he starred in his first movie: The Shaolin Temple. In the 80's and 90's he was one of the greatest starts in Hong Kong and started the Kung Fu passion for many. Jet is multi talented as he now learns to speak English every day, and also tried to direct some movies, and is also a producer and writer. He wrote Kiss of the Dragon with Luc Besson. Jet has been working with the greatest, such as Xin Xin Xiong, Donnie Yen and Tsui Hark. He's so popular that he gets to many offers and has to decline some roles. He had to say no to "The Art of War" and "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon", but he will be in many other projects, which he's working on right now........................ |
