Bio and martial arts background Byron Mann is a great character actor who is also a member of the California Bar. His interest in acting came after moving to Los Angeles where he studied Philosophy. Byron is also an expert martial artist after training in Wushu privately with Bruce Fontaine. Byron shows his skills in some movies, but also martial arts demonstrations. He is one of few Oriental actors who aren't just martial arts actors but also character actors. Byron got to show his fighting skills in Streetfighter. He and Van Damme were obviously the only ones capable of fighting, and in movies such as Red Corner, Byron was obviously enjoying his role as a 'bad guy'.
