Bio and martial arts background
Masaya graduated from Yokohama National University and started acting in 1988. He's a popular handsome actor who made it to the American screen in all sorts of movies. Drama, action and thrillers. He can have a very mysterious look in his eyes. He was a model before.
He is a versatile sportsman. Martial arts are his specialty, but he also does boxing, is able with swords and does skiing and swimming.
He is one of few Oriental actors who do martial arts and good acting, like Russell Wong and Byron Mann. All 3 of them can do martial arts, but also character roles, and are known as some of the most beautiful men on earth. |
