Bio and martial arts background At the age of 11, Robin's family moved to America; California. There he began taking Karate. It was not the style he wanted, and after watching a WuShu demonstration he switched to WuShu. Being very motivated, he began studying WuShu intense, and became a champion and member of the WuShu Team. His first intention was not to be an actor, but to study Engineering on the California State University. This work bored him a lot. Later he went back to Hong Kong, where a friend asked him to do stunts in a movie. After some Hong Kong movies, playing mostly bad guys, he returned to California. In America he made some cool Hollywood movies, such as Mortal Kombat. During the making of that movie, he broke 2 ribs, and lost his mother. It was since then that he became a buddhist. No he's also doing pottery. Some of his martial arts stats: 1982-83 International Forms Champion Member of the National WuShu Team Gold and Silver Medal at Cometitions in China Gold Medal in Weapons 4-Time Traditional Forms Grand Champion in California Besides being an actor, Robin is now also a professional fight coordinator. |
