Chad Stahelski is at this time a retired competitor. He started at a young age, training in Kickboxing. Now he's an instructor at the Inosanto Martial Arts Academy in California, teaching Jeet Kune Do/Jun Fan. Before that, he has trained with the late Brandon Lee at the Inosanto Academy. He has also worked in one of Lee's movies: The Crow as his double after the lethal accident. Chad was picked 'cause he knew Lee, how he moved, and looked more like him than any other stuntman.
He also trained under Yori Nakamura, a Shootwrestling instructor. Shootwrestling is a combination of wrestling, Judo, Thai boxing and Jiu-Jitsu. Chad was very successfull and ranked in America.
His martial arts skills made him a martial arts actor and popular stuntman doubling for and working with some of the greatest stars, such as Keanu Reeves. Besides doing stunts he also does stunt coordinating. He is most popular for doubling in Buffy, the Vampire Slayer. Together with stunt collegues he formed Smashcut. A company responsible for cool stunts in some of the greatest movies and series.
