After moving to Boston, massachusetts at the age of 11, where he would grow up, he started taking martial arts really serious. His mother influenced him. She was a great martial artist, expert in Wushu and Tai Chi. At the same time, music became a big part of his life. Of course, Donnie started training martial arts as soon as he could walk. Right now Donnie is a Tai Chi and Wushu expert, influenced by Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee movies.
Later his parents sent him to Beijing, where he trained with the famed Beijing Wushu Team under the same master as Jet Li did. After an intensive training Donnie wanted to go back to the US, but stopped in Hong Kong and met Yuen Woo-Ping, who launched Jackie Chan, and was looking for a new star........ Donnie Yen. Donnie would be a great star, being such a great martial artist. Besides Wushu and Tai Chi, he masters many other styles, and never stopped training.
Donnie has now made many great movies in Hong Kong and now also in the US. He has starred in Once Upon a Time in China with Jet Li, and was the star of Iron Monkey which is considered one of his best films ever. Besides being a great star he'd also do great action directing. He has now also produced and directed.
Chris also studied Wushu at her mothers school and was Donnies greatest fan when he became a star. Chris also grew up in Boston and was a great martial artist winning various medals at all sorts of tournaments. Chris started acting at a young age and worked with the legendary Yuen Woo-Ping. While learning from him and watching Donnie, Chris is now working on her own acting carreer.
