Roger was raised in Taiwan with his grandparents and New York with his parents, and brother martial artist Ron Yuan. Roger spent his teens in Taiwan, New York, San Fransisco and Los Angeles.
Roger Yuan is a very accomplished and multi-talented martial artist who knows many disciplines, such as: Tang Soo Do, Wing Chun, Thai Boxing, Western Boxing, Tae Kwon Do, Kyukushin,Tai Chi and Shaolin Kung Fu.
He's a 4th degree black belt in Tang Soo Do. He became a student of Chuck Norris and Benny Urquidez, which made the step from martial arts to TV easier. He becam a popular action star and stuntman in some big budget movies such as Blade and Lethal Weapon 4.
Obviously Roger's star is growing, after his lead role in Shanghai Noon with Jackie Chan. Roger also had the opportunity to work with great stars such as Sammo Hung.
Roger now resides in Southern California and sometimes in Ireland.
