PITTSBURGH, PA -- Michal Handzus had a goal and an assist for the Philadelphia
Flyers in a 5-3 victory over the Pittsburg Penguins on Saturday. Handzus, who
has eight points in his last five games, helped John LeClair net his sixth
power-play goal of the season in the second period and established a 4-2
cushion with a man-advantage tally late in the third. LeClair added an assist
and Donald Brashear contributed a goal and an assist for Philadelphia, which
improved to 4-0-1 since January 22. Robert Esche, who raised his record to
16-6-5, turned aside 27 of the 30 shots he faced to pick up the win. Jean-
Sebastien Aubin surrendered four goals on 31 shots in the loss. Ryan Malone
netted his team-leading 13th goal for Pittsburgh, which has dropped nine
straight and 15 of their last 17.
