Philadelphia Flyers 4, Carolina Hurricanes 2
===================================
RALEIGH, NC -- Branko Radivojevic recorded two points for the first time in
over a year and Sean Burke stopped 26 shots for the Philadelphia Flyers in a
4-2 victory over the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday. The 23-year-old set up
Patrick Sharp for a 1-0 lead midway through the first period and capped the
scoring with just under two minutes gone in the final stanza. With his
performance, Radivojevic, acquired from Phoenix on February 10, has nine goals
and 29 points, surpassing his single-season point total of 27 set last season.
Burke turned aside all 13 shots he faced over the final 20 minutes to snap a
personal four-game winless skid. Simon Gagne netted his fourth goal in his last
five games for Philadelphia, which is 6-2-2 this month. Bret Hedican extended
his goal-scoring streak to three games for Carolina, which fell to 12-16-8-2 on
home ice. Kevin Weekes made 21 saves in suffering his third consecutive defeat.
