LOS ANGELES, CA -- Roman Cechmanek made 22 saves to pick up his first shutout
for the Los Angeles Kings in a 4-0 victory over the Philadelphia Flyers on
Tuesday. Cechmanek, who spent his first three season with Philadelphia, stopped
13 third-period shots and helped shut down five power plays enroute to his 21st
career shutout. Martin Strbak scored twice and Zigmund Palffy recorded two
assists, giving him a league-leading 12 points, for Los Angeles, which has
taken four of its last five. Jeff Hackett registered 21 saves in the loss for
the Flyers, who suffered their first defeat of the season.
