PHILADELPHIA, PA -- Mark Recchi scored late in the second period to help the
Philadelphia Flyers edge the Boston Bruins, 3-2, on Saturday. Recchi put a
pass from Tony Amonte behind goaltender Andrew Raycroft with 2:15 remaining in
the middle stanza for his third power-play marker in his last two contests.
Simon Gagne and Justin Williams each chipped in with a goal and Jeff Hackett
extended his home unbeaten streak to five games with 11 saves for
Philadelphia, which improved to 8-0-1 this month. Raycroft, who had his four-
game winning streak snapped, stopped 23 shots in defeat. Brian Rolston netted
consecutive goals 37 seconds apart early in the second period to even the
score at 2-2 for Boston, which suffered its first loss in regulation since
October 23.
