I played with Johnny at Harbourfront in Toronto. The double bill was to be Johnny and Earl King. Earl couldnt make it so we put a band together to fill the opening slot. We used 2 wonderful RandB singers Johnny Wright and John Dickie .John D. was also the MC for the show.

Mark Miller of The Globe and Mail wrote...And of all the resources Adams called on to draw the evening out to length the call and response routines with the audience, the trombone imitation, the spot of whistling it was invariably John Tildens solos that served him best. No filler there. None....
Now that Johnny is gone I feel even luckier to have been on stage with him. A true legend.
