NORTH & SOUTH ANJUNA BEACHES

ACCOMMODATION:
Most visitors stay in local houses, often for the duration of the season. There’s little ‘instant accommodation’, with the exception of The Manali GH, ‘White Negro’ & ‘Grandpa’s Inn’ (Bouganvillea). For up-to-date information consult other travellers.
RESTAURANTS:
The choice is wide, if a little spread out. Here there are not so many beach shacks, most places having been built just beyond the sand. Specialities include Afghani (Ariana), smoked fish (LaFranza) and pastries (German Bakery). Two of the most popular are Xavier’s and Joe Banana’s in Dando Vaddo. During the Feamarket the Sea Breeze is busiest. For info. on parties, ask at the Shore Bar.

PLACES OF INTEREST :
The Shiva Temple, The Wednesday Fleamarket, the Hindu Farm, nightly parties at various venues during the season, Dr. Hugo’s irrigation clinic.

TRANSPORT:
The majority of visitors hire motor-cycles, as the facilities are spread out. There are buses from the stand in N. Anjuna to Chapora and Mapusa.

DISTANCES:
Grandpa’s Inn 1km,
Chapora 4km, Vagator 2km,
Mapusa 9km, Baga 4km.
