When I'm called out to fix somebody's computer, most of the time it's because they have been messing with it. 99% of computers never screw up. Let me make this simple. Don't download free stuff, don't open emails with attachments unless you know what they are, don't open email forwards and don't make changes in Windows. That's all. It's that simple to keep your computer running smoothly.....most of the time, anyway.

Do yourself a big favor. Leave the colors, text size, fonts, mouse pointers, backgrounds, screensavers....everything...just the way it came when you bought it. Don't download Internet "Search Bars" or other things that are supposed to make anything work better. Microsoft Windows - Microsoft Office - Microsoft Outlook and Outlook Express - Internet Explorer - all work the way they are supposed to already. TRUST ME!
