Animals
I don't have a whole lot of animals painted at this
point, but they are some of my favorite things to paint. I have a lot of
different animal miniatures waiting to be painted, and I hope to get to
some of them very soon. In the meantime....
The cat on the left is a Heritage figure, and
long OOP, although I believe that Reaper miniatures may be producing it
now. The one on the right is either a Ral Partha or a Reaper product; I'm
afraid that I've forgotten which. The gray cat isn't one of my more exciting
paint jobs, but the eyes came out very nicely. The other cat was painted
to match a family pet, a calico cat from the lowest depths of hell.

The panther is a Simatc miniature, from the
"Nightlife" line of horror figures. The fox (who is pictured a
bit out of scale here) is a Ral Partha miniature, from their North American
Animals pack.
A couple of years ago, I got really into the
idea of painting wolves. I have no idea why, but it's left me with nearly
20 different painted wolf miniatures, and another 20 or 30 waiting for my
interest to return. The two pictured above are some of the last (and therefore
best) that I painted. On the left is a Ral Partha miniature, from one of
their "Werewolf" packs. The other one really isn't a wolf at all
-- he's a "Warg", from one of Grenadier's Lord of The Rings
boxed sets.

Not, technically, animals...but they date from
my wolf period, and they're close enough for me. Both are Partha figures
-- the one on the left is a Silent Strider from the Werewolf line, the one
on the right is a Ravenloft AD&D figure.

Another pair of Partha figures. The first is a Velociraptor,
and it's only a few years old. I'm not really sure what the second one is
supposed to be, but it was made in 1984. I think that the ivory claws and
horn were a bad choice, and I'll be fixing them one of these days. I have
another half dozen 'raptors to paint up, too.
