Blue Girl |

Blue Girl's reputation for being difficult in the garden has not dimmed my enthusiasm for this rose. It is beautiful and unusual. Prone to blackspot, Blue Girl is reported to do better in dry climates, so I planted mine in front of the dryer vent. No kidding! The shrub had no blackspot this year, and though it was a bit stressed at times because of the heat, it bloomed pretty well in June, July, and August. Foliage decorated with dryer lint is hard to get used to, but otherwise this seems to be the perfect spot for Blue Girl. Go figure! |
