For many years, Frau Karl Druschki was the most popular white rose.  It was better known under the more lilting synonym "White American Beauty."  Its sparkling white blossoms open beautifully even in inclement weather.  Its lanky growth responds well to pegging, causing more blooming laterals to erupt along the flexed canes.
I've planted Frau Karl Druschki near the corner of the pole barn in a mixed border.  It should look spiffy to the right of  F. J. Grootendorst, a bright red rose.
