A new rose in our garden last spring, Kordes Perfecta is settling in nicely. The cream pink roses are deeply etched with medium pink, reminiscent of strawberry swirl ice cream. Fragrance is delightful. Mr. Kordes refers to it as his "perfect rose." Growth has been very strong and erect, with little branching. The buds seem to defy opening until the last moment when they finally burst open into magnificently colored roses. The rose is not cane hardy here, but the bud union survived a freeze-thaw winter with ease. So far, roses are few and far between but definitely worth the wait. If you enjoy unusually colored roses, give "Kordes Perfecta" a try. |
