Class:  Climber/Shrub

Color:  Baby Pink

Scent:  Warm rose,

Size:  5-? feet

Zone:  Cane hardy in zone 5

This rose was found growing in a dirt pile near our home.  It took two years for it to bloom, and by that time it was nearly five feet tall and four feet wide.  The canes are long and arching, suitable for training as a climber or a lax shrub.  Leaflets bear 7, 9, and 11 leaves.  Blossoms are baby pink, semi-double, and show yellow stamens.  The scent is intensely sweet and warm.  It blooms once in early summer.
My neighbor says she remembers a pink climbing rose growing along a split rail fence here many years ago.  Perhaps this is the same rose.  How it could revive after so long is yet another mystery!
