In the spring of 2000, Pink Grootendorst was planted on the east side of the pole barn.  We're anxious to see how this rose, and its parent, F. J. Grootendorst perform.  From what I've read, folks either love or hate these roses.  Perhaps the roses' lack of scent discourages some.  I didn't buy these two roses for fragrance-- I'm looking for super hardy roses that will shake off disease and look fresh all summer.
This vigorous, spreading plant bears pink roses with petals that look like they've been trimmed with pinking shears.  The foliage is somewhat rugose.  Its habit is identical to its parent plant except for the more feminine color of its blossoms.
