Scentimental

Wow!
June 2000

My mom saw a photo of Scentimental in a rose catalog, and decided she just had to have it in the patio rose garden.  I heartily agreed!  Our bare root rose bush arrived from Edmund's Roses in November of '99.  We were both impressed with the overall health and appearance of the canes.  The root system was fabulous!  Edmund's delivery was on time despite the rain that was hampering their fall digging.
Scentimental is the first striped rose to win an All-American Rose Award.  Blossoms are splashed with varying shades of white and burgandy-red.  Scent is said to be strong and spicy.  Foliage is deep green and growth is vigorous.  The randomly striped roses look like swirled peppermint drops.
The first blooms in our patio garden have been spectacular!  I especially like the effect of the dramatically striped roses against the white picket fence.
