This rose is planted between Climbing America and John Cabot in front of a chain link fence. I'm so tired of rose canes being killed by our late winter thaws and freezes that I'm looking forward to having some hardy rugosa roses. Disease-free leaves and colorful fall foliage is also a big draw.
Though not technically an old rose, it is gratifying to have something introduced around the time my grandfather was serving in World War I.
