With a parent named Golden Angel, we certainly hope this rose will turn out to be heavenly.  I'm intrigued by the fact that Topaz Jewel is a yellow rugosa rose with a fruity fragrance.  I have several other yellow roses to place this spring 2000, and perhaps Topaz Jewel would make a nice backdrop for them.  That would create a sunny corner in the garden!
Roses open a rich yellow, then pale to lighter yellow.  The foliage is medium size and a nice shade of green.  Of course, health and hardiness is to be expected among the rugosa class.  The roses are a nice size, but shatter quickly.  Rebloom is noted to be rapid.
