Plum Pudding

INGREDIENTS

2 Cups Bread Crumbs
2 Cups Flour
2 Cups Milk
2 Cups Sugar
1 Cup Crisco
4 Cups Raisins
1 teaspoon each of: Nutmeg, Cinnamon, and Baking Soda

Directions

Mix everything together and out it into greased coffee cans, Make sure that there are holes in the lid to let out the steam and only fill the cans about 2/3 full. Put the cans in a large Kettle. Out a few inches of water in the kettle, and cover. Let steam for about 6 hours. Be sure to check it once in a while to make sure that the kettle doesn;t go dry. When done, remove covers from the coffee cans, and turn them upside down on a wire rack. The pudding will slide out. Let cool. Serve warm with vanilla or lemon sauce.
