Once upon a time, Little bear
was out on an adventure.
He heard about a First Grade class that was reading the story:
We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Retold by Michael Rosen &
Illustrated by Helen Oxenbury.
He thought it would be fun to visit the class, but he got to the class
too early. So he left them a letter and said he would be come
back after lunch. When the class arrived to school, they read the
letter. They were really looking forward to seeing Little Bear.
After lunch the class came in and found another letter! It said
he was tired of waiting and decided to go to the library. The class
continued the bear hunt to the library, only to find a third letter!
Mrs. Pence, the librarian, read the letter to the class which said
Little Bear left to go to the computer lab. When the class got to
the lab they found . . . you guessed it a fourth letter!!
Mrs. Egleberry, their computer lab teacher, read the letter to them.
It said he followed another class to Art. The bear hunt went on to
Mr. Newport's Art Class. The First Graders couldn't believe they
missed him again. There waiting for them was another note.
It said Little Bear left to go to the gym for some exercise with Coach.
Coach had another note waiting for the class sending them to
Mr. Maynes' Music Room. Little Bear loved to sing songs. Before
the
class arrived, Little Bear left a note saying that he was called to the
office. Off they went again to find him in the office. When
the class
arrived, Ms. Kelly showed the First Graders his visitors name tag
(with some of his bear fur stuck to it, "ouch!"). There was yet another
note. It sent the class back to their room. They tip toed all
the way,
hoping not to scare Little Bear away. Unfortunately, all that was
left
was a note from Little Bear. He had to go home to hibernate for the
winter, but asked the class to please write him at:

Little Bear said he would write back to the class until he could
come back and visit. He left a stuffed Little Bear for the class
to
keep as a reminder of his visit.
