There are many more impressive sights there, but frankly, I couldn't fit them in my camera. Seriously. I mean, what would you build if you had several billion dollars and a several countries of servants to remodel your house and gardens? I was staggered several times an hour. One thing that I really like that Americans don't do enough of is to plant lots of sculpture in their gardens. There were hundreds, maybe thousands of sculptures there. I liked this Athena and this woman enough to snap a picture. |

After another day of hanging out in Versailles, it was time to move on to the big bad city of Paris. I definitely appreciated the hospitality of my host family, and highly reccommend Versailles. The city, castle, and gardens are just gorgeous. It is one of the only gardens that I have been in that doesn't feel planned and fake. |
